Not nearly as fearsome as my username, I’m the stay-at-home mom of 2 teenage girls, the youngest in High School and the eldest partially/successfully launched and off at her freshman year in college. I’ve spent the last 10 years driving, cajoling, cheering at soccer games, helping with homework, and doing all the parent stuff. It’s not going to last much longer, and that makes me sad, but I’m also excited about all the changes that will be part of the next phase of my life.

On the side and to keep my sanity during these years of teenage angst, I’ve built a web business focused on one tiny aspect of parenting that I hope can help other sometimes overwhelmed, overscheduled and overloaded parents. Nobody ever said raising kids was easy, and sometimes we all just run out steam and can’t do everything we wish to do when we want to do it.

Back when my kids were smaller, I applied my creative streak to their birthday parties, and as much to my surprise as anyone’s, they were highly successful. Also being fascinated with the internet, I merged the two to create the Birthday Party Games Lady website, and have been on a learning roller coaster ever since. It’s been good fun.

Now that gas is over $3/gallon and the economy is making things tough on all us regular folks, I wanted a way to share what I’ve learned about creating successful kids parties with those not inclined to purchase a ready made package. Hubpages provides a very easy way to do this, and I’m quite excited to have found this resource.
